HOW DO I RENT A DRESS/HANDBAG?

 

RENT - Choose your dress/handbag by visiting our Nicosia shop or request to ship it to an indicated address. Dress and handbags rental periods are 24 hours up to 4 days. If you are in Nicosia, you pick up your dress and/or before your event and return it after. 

 

WEAR - Look fabulous at your event! Post, Tag or Tweet about your experience and give us a review of your dress. Don't forget to send us pictures!

 

RETURN - At the expiration date of your rental you can either return your items to the shop OR ask us to pick it up at your chosen location for an additional fee. Return should be made before 2pm on the day of expiration.

Is a Security Deposit Required?

We trust that customers will respect and follow the terms and conditions of renting dress/handbag from our shop. At all time we want our customers to feel comfortable without any additional worries of depositing any additional security. However customers should be aware that each time renting a dress/handbag will need to sign an acceptance form of their obligations and liabilities.

 

Live in Nicosia? Try Before You Rent

Our rental loft is open Monday - Saturday for you to try on dresses/handbags. When we are closed and under special circumstances we can open the shop for our customers on Sundays and public holidays. 

 

No Extra Fees

Prices include dry cleaning. No added costs at checkout.

 

We Allow Substitutions?

Once the dress/handbag is rented we do not make substitutions. We always recommend to choose wisely your dress/handbag before you rent them. Please always remember that some of our customers pre-book their dress/handbag and we need to provide them with the dress/handbag on the booked date.

 

PRICES

 

How much does it cost to rent a dress/handbag?

In general, dresses/handbags range from EUR35 - EUR125. 

 

What does the rental price include?

The rental price includes the cost of the dress/handbag rental, dry cleaning and taxes. Shipping will be added to your order based on your location. 

 

When do I need to pay?

Once you choose your dress/handbag we shall request payment of the full rental amount.

Dresses/handbags can be rented for 24 hours up to 4 days.

 

What if I need a dress/handbag for more than 4 days?

Please e-mail us at info@mygarderobecyprus.com or visit our shop and we will provide a specific price for renting a dress/handbag beyond 4 days.

 

I want to rent a dress/handbag for next year. How far ahead can I rent a dress?

You can reserve a dress/handbag as far as 3 months in advance.

 

DRESS RETURN

 

How do I return my dress/handbag?

Rentals can be dropped off at the showroom in Nicosia or picked up at your location for a small additional fee. Yes, it's that easy!

 

What if the dress/handbag I'm renting becomes dirty or damaged? 

We like to think of our customers as an extended group of friends with access to our closet. Therefore, we ask you to make every effort to treat the dress/handbag as if it were on loan from a dear friend and return it to us in the same condition as received.  We expect the dresses/handbags to have some natural wear. That is why every dress/handbag is professionally cleaned and repaired upon return. No additional fee will be assessed for instances of everyday wear and tear or for removable stains as dirt, food or make-up. In cases where dresses/handbags are not returned, or returned severely abused, permanently stained or damaged beyond everyday wear, you will be charged a reasonable repair or replacement fee, determined by My Garde Robe Cyprus. Some items, however, are not easily replaceable and the full retail value may be charged.

 

What happens if I return my dress/handbag late?

We ask that you make every effort to return your dress/handbag in a timely manner, as someone else may have reserved the dress/handbag for another special occasion. Believe us when we say it's a real drag when your dress/handbag is not ready on time. Although most customers observe that simple rule, sometimes a stronger motivation is needed. Hence, My Garde Robe Cyprus has late fees: EUR100/day late fee. Timely returns are vital to our dress/handbag rental community, so we ask that you return your dress/handbag on time.

 

SHIPPING 

 

How long will it take for my dress/handbag to arrive?

We ship all of our dresses so that they arrive on the date that you requested. You will receive a tracking number so that you can track your package.

 

I live outside of Cyprus. Can you ship to me?

At this time, we only ship to Cyprus.

 

I am going out of town and would like for my dress/handbag to be shipped to my hotel or a friend/family member's house. Is this possible?

Of course! Just provide the shipping address when you order. It is also a good idea to let your hotel, friend or family know that a package will be arriving for you. Keep in mind that we might need extra verification for orders that are shipped to addresses other than your billing address. This verification can take up to 24 hours, so please place your order in enough time for this process to take place.

 

What shipping carrier do you use?

We ship most of our dresses with G.A.P. Akis Express.

 

My dress/handbag has not arrived and my event is today! What should I do?

Keep in mind that G.A.P Akis Express delivers up to 16.00 PM in some locations. When we ship your package, we will provide you with a tracking number so that you can track the status. If you have tracked the status of your package and you still have questions regarding delivery, please e-mail us at info@mygarderobecyprus.com with DELIVERY STATUS in the subject line and your order number and we will assist you. As with ordering anything online, there is a slight chance of shipping delays. This is why we recommend that you choose a dress arrival date that is at least 1 day before your event.

 

Do I need to be at home to accept my package delivery?

G.A.P Akis Express does not require a signature for deliveries to secure locations. Please be sure to provide a phone number where you can be reached during the day because if your location is not secure, G.A.P Akis Express will often call you to see if it is OK to drop off your package.

 

I need my dress/handbag on a Sunday. Are dresses delivered on Sunday?

If we know in advance we shall arrange to deliver the dress/handbag on Sunday.

Do you offer plus sizes?

Yes! We offer cocktail and evening gown dresses in sizes 32 - 46. 

 

I see a dress/handbag in a store or at another website that I want to rent. Is it possible for you to order a dress for me to rent?

At this time, we do not place special orders. But, our business is built around providing the dress/handbag that you want, so we definitely want to know which dress/handbag and designers you love. Feel free to let us know by sending an e-mail to info@mygarderobecyprus.com with DRESS/HANDBAG REQUEST in the subject line. We will add it to our "most wanted" list and try our best to locate it for you. If we can find the dress/handbag, it will be added to our website and an e-mail will be sent to our customership base with a notification of new arrivals.

 

Are all of your dresses/handbags listed on your website? Yes all our dresses/handbags are listed on our website. You may e-mail us at info@mygarderobecyprus.com to inquire about if we have a particular dress or style that you are looking for. 

 

What condition are the dress/handbag in? At My Garde Robe Cyprus, you will never sacrifice style or quality just because you are renting a dress/handbag. All of our items are either "new" or in "like new" condition. Some will be worn for the first time by you.  We hold very high standards and offer our customers nothing less than the best. After dress/handbag are no longer up to My Garde Robe Cyprus' high standards of "rentable condition" they are sold. Trust us - if we would not wear it, we do not rent it!

 

RETURN POLICY

 

What if I get my dress and it does not fit or I do not like my dress/handbag?

With ordering any clothing online, there is always a risk that you may not like your item or it does not fit when it arrives. However we cannot accept returns while such dress/handbag is shipped. We highly encourage you to e-mail us at info@mygarderobecyprus.com and ask questions about the dresses/handbags that you are interested in. We have seen ALL of our dresses/handbags on real bodies. So by asking just a few questions, we can give you an excellent idea of whether or not a dress/handbags will work for your body type or if it is appropriate for your event.

Our customer service hours are Monday –Friday, 9 AM - 6 PM. and Saturday from 9AM-3PM

DRESS/HANDBAGS PURCHASE

 

Do you buy dresses/handbags from customers?

Yes. Please note that we buy dresses/handbags based on current inventory needs, which means that we may only be looking for certain sizes and designers. If you are interested in selling your dress/handbag to My Garde Robe Cyprus, e-mail us at info@mygarderobecyprus.com with DRESS/HANDBAG TO SELL in the subject line, along with the picture of the dress/handbag, size, designer and color. We will respond within 48 hours. All dresses/handbags must be new or dry cleaned and in excellent condition. We take requests to buy dresses/handbags via e-mail only.

I love the dress/handbag that I rented and want to buy it! Can I buy dresses/handbag from My Garde Robe Cyprus?

We have sales once a year. When a sale starts, we send an e-mail to our customership base and post a special sale section of our website. If you cannot wait for one of our sales, feel free to e-mail us at info@mygarderobecyprus.com and we will try our best to locate a retailer that sells the dress/handbag you are looking for.

 

BENEFITS OF RENTING A DRESS/HANDBAG

 

I can find dresses/handbags to purchase for the same price as your rentals. Wouldn't it be wiser to buy? This is a great question. While it is very easy to find dresses/handbags for less than EURO 50, it is not easy to find dresses/handbags that are of the same quality and unique nature as the dresses/handbags that My Garde Robe Cyprus carries for less than EURO 50. We specialize in unique, well made dresses/handbags in quality fabrics from major designers. While we love H&M, Zara and Mango, you will be hard pressed to find our dresses/handbags in their stores.

Want to create space in your garde robe?

My Garde Robe Cyprus let you have a rotating closet. Don’t bother buying, especially items you will wear only once but will keep for years in your closet, just start renting and look different every month.

All of our dresses/handbags are available for INDOOR photo shoot rental. 

 

Do you have a retail store or plan to open a retail store?

In order to keep our rental prices low, My Garde Robe Cyprus currently operates online and operates a small Nicosia rental loft for try-ons. We have a street front location at 11 Ayias Elenis Street, 1061- Nicosia, Cyprus
